MOTHER’S DAY:
Wishing all Mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day. May our Lord bless you all with health, happiness and many blessed years.
HELPING HANDS:
Helping Hands Day is sponsored by GCU Lodge 442. The Spring clean-up will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 10:00am-12:00 (noon) helping hands will be at St. Nicholas Byzantine Cemetery on Hyatt Street in Campbell.
All parishioners, friends, and families are invited to join for this project. The more volunteer “helping hands” we have, the more we can do to beautify our church grounds and St. Nicholas Cemetery for the Spring and Summer seasons.
There will be beverages and snacks available at St. Nicholas Byzantine Cemetery.
PHONE NUMBER REQUEST:
There is a sign-up sheet for parishioners to give their phone numbers in order to receive phone information/updates on our church if interested.
SANCTUARY CANDLES:
The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intention. The left sanctuary candle is in memory of +Michael Migletz from parents. There is no request for the right sanctuary candle.
Dear Lord, it’s such a hectic day,
With little time to stop and pray,
For life’s been anything but calm,
Since you called me to be a mom…
Running errands, matching socks,
Building dreams with matching blocks,
Cooking, cleaning, and finding shoes
And all those things that young ones lose,
Fitting lids on bottled bugs,
Wiping tears and giving hugs,
A stack of last week’s mail to read,
So where’s the quiet time I need?
Yet as I go to bed each night,
My heart is filled with true love’s light.
As I take one last peek, I see
This treasure you have given me,
God’s own sweet blessing sleeping there,
The answer to a Mother’s Prayer.
Here is a bit of advice to father’s on Mother’s Day:
Legally, a husband is the head of the house and a pedestrian has the right
of way. Both are perfectly safe and within their rights as long as they do
not try to confirm it!
