UPDATE-CAPITAL CAMPAIGN:

The NEW total we have collected is $79,836.77 for the Capital Campaign.  We continue to work towards our goal of $200, 000. Thank you for your generous donations and continued support to our Church.

LITURGY REQUEST:

If a liturgy is requested for a specific date, please call Paula Slemons @ (330)799-5983 to ensure this date. Unfortunately, liturgy requests have not been given due to not receiving them in time. We do apologize and hope to rectify this situation by calling Paula and confirming, not just placing them in the collection basket.

HELPING HANDS:

Helping Hands Day is sponsored by GCU Lodge 442. The Spring clean-up will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 10:00am-12:00 (noon) helping hands will be at St. Nicholas Byzantine Cemetery on Hyatt Street in Campbell.

All parishioners, friends, and families are invited to join for this project. The more volunteer “helping hands” we have, the more we can do to beautify our church grounds and St. Nicholas Cemetery for the Spring and Summer seasons.

Please call Theresa Swindler @

 (330) 272-2198 if you are attending to help.

There will be beverages and snacks available at St. Nicholas Byzantine Cemetery.

MEMORIAL DAY:

On Sunday May 30th, the 9:00 am liturgy @ Infant Jesus and the 11:00 am liturgy at St. Nicholas will be for veterans, armed services members, civil servants, first responders and front -line workers. Following there will be a blessing and raising of the flag. Parishioners and guests are invited to bring their NEW flags for blessing. This event is sponsored by GCU 422.

Our high priest prays as God and man.

Cyril of Alexandria:

Christ, who manifested himself in the last times above the types and figures of the Law, at once our high priest and mediator, prays for us as man. And at the same time he is ever ready to cooperate with God the Father, who distributes good gifts to those who are worthy. Paul showed us this most plainly in the words “grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Christ, then, prays for us as man and also unites in distributing good gifts to us as God. For he, being a holy high priest, blameless and undefiled, offered himself— not for his own weakness, as was the custom of those to whom was allotted the duty of sacrificing according to the Law, but rather for the salvation of our souls. Commentary on the Gospel of John 11.8.
