UPDATE-CAPITAL CAMPAIGN:

The NEW total we have collected is $66,676.11 for the Capital Campaign.  We continue to work towards our goal of $200, 000. Thank you for your generous donations and continued support to our Church.

LITURGY REQUEST:

If a liturgy is requested for a specific date, please call Paula Slemons @ (330)799-5983 to ensure this date. Unfortunately, liturgy requests have not been given due to not receiving them in time. We do apologize and hope to rectify this situation by calling Paula and confirming, not just placing them in the collection basket.

PHONE NUMBER REQUEST:

There is a sign-up sheet for parishioners to give their phone numbers in order to receive phone information/updates on our church if interested.

ECF CLASSES:

Reminder, ECF classes are held on Tuesdays, for all school aged children K-12th grade. Classes are on-line with short meetings following Sunday divine liturgies. Please contact Father Michael for more information & to sign-up. This is a great opportunity for children to learn their Byzantine faith from our wonderful teachers Francine Stanko Schuler and Mary Sinowski, and to meet children of our parish.

GCU LODGE 442 MEETING:

There will be a GCU Lodge 442 meeting, Sunday September 26, 2021 following 9:00 am Liturgy at Infant Jesus in Boardman. All are welcome to come.

CHINESE AUCTION:

St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Hermitage is holding their 44th Annual Chinese Auction on Sunday, October 3rd at their center-2140 Highland Road.  Doors open at 1:00pm & drawing begins at 2:15 pm. Admission is $5.00 which includes lunch & 1 tear sheet. Additional tear sheets-7 for $5.00. 50/50 raffle, lottery raffle and prizes for every family.

ASSEMBLY OF THE BYZANTINE CATHOLIC CHURCH:

The assembly- “One Body in Christ: Re-emerging from the Pandemic” will be held November 5 & 6, 2021 @ St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Munhall, PA. Register @ archpitt.org.

HELP WANTED-BYZANTINE CENTER AT THE GROVE:

The banquet center has been very busy and is need of extra help. There are openings for part-time/on-call employees. Duties may include event set-up/tear down, serving, clearing tables, light cleaning, sanitizing and kitchen help (salad prep& plating cookies). Must be available evenings & weekends. Salary is $8.80-$10/hour based on experience. Call JoAnn @ 330-782-6388 for information & to apply. This is a great part-time job, if you need extra $$$$$!

RAFFLE TICKETS:

Raffle tickets for the annual Saint Nicholas Celebration to benefit the Byzantine Catholic Seminary of Saints Cyril & Methodius are available for purchase.  Tickets are $10 each with a cash prize of $2000 and the winning number will be based on the PA lottery evening Pick 3 drawn on Monday, December 6th.  See Fr. Michael to purchase.

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intention. For the week of September 26-October 2, 2021, the left sanctuary candle is in memory of +Mary & +Joseph Hudran and the right sanctuary candle is in memory of +Edward Vrabel from the Graneto & Vrabel families.
