UPDATE-CAPITAL CAMPAIGN:

The NEW total we have collected is $94,724.77 for the Capital Campaign.  We continue to work towards our goal of $200, 000. Thank you for your generous donations and continued support to our Church.

There is a sign-up sheet for parishioners to give their phone numbers in order to receive phone information/updates on our church if interested.

REGULATIONS FOR THE GREAT FAST:

STRICT ABSTINENCE: (fast) is toobserved on Pure Monday, February 28th-the 1st day of the Great Fast & on Great & Holy Friday, April 15th. This includes no use or consumption of all meats, eggs and dairy products.

SIMPLE ABSTINENCE: Thisforbids the use of meat on all Wednesdays & Fridays during the Great fast but allows eggs and dairy products.

PRE-SANCTIFIED LITURGIES will be celebrated every Wednesday @ Infant Jesus of Prague -6:00pm and every Friday @ St. Nicholas-4:00pm during the Great Fast. Pre-Sanctified Liturgies will also be celebrated on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of Holy Week (schedule to be determined).

LENTEN EDUCATION CLASS:

 This year, following all Wednesday Pre-Sanctified liturgies there will be a Lenten adult education class @ Infant Jesus of Prague. All parishioners, family and friends are welcomed to learn about our Byzantine faith. Classes begin this Wednesday, March 2nd.

LENTEN ETHNIC FOOD SALE:

St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church 2140 Highland Road, Hermitage is having a Lenten ethnic food & bake sale on March 9th from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm. Homemade cheese & potato or sauerkraut pierohi (frozen)-$8.00/dozen or halushki-$8.00/1 quart. Pre-orders only. Call Bill @ 724-962-4618 or Christine @ 724-866-0058 to place an order.

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intention. For the week of February 27-March 5, the left sanctuary candle is for the health & well- being of Darlene Spurio from Cousin Rose Bonamase. The right sanctuary candle is in memory of +Patty Caldrone also from Rose Bonamase.
