UPDATE-CAPITAL CAMPAIGN:

The NEW total we have collected is $96543.77 for the Capital Campaign.  We continue to work towards our goal of $200, 000. Thank you for your generous donations and continued support to our Church.

There is a sign-up sheet for parishioners to give their phone numbers in order to receive phone information/updates on our church if interested.

EASTER EGG HUNT:

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for all children 14 and under on April 10^th, following Palm Sunday Liturgy. All children are invited to participate.

LENTEN EDUCATION CLASS:

 This year, following all Wednesday Pre-Sanctified liturgies there will be a Lenten adult education class @ Infant Jesus of Prague. All parishioners, family and friends are welcomed to learn about our Byzantine faith.

RUMMAGE SALE:
St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Hermitage, Pa is holding a rummage sale on Thursday, March 31^st from 4:00-7:00pm,Friday, April 1^st from 9;00 am-2:00pm and Saturday , April 2^nd from 9:00 am-noon. $ 2.00/bag and bake sale included.

UKRAINE RELIEF FUNRAISER:

Mark your calendars! A Ukraine Relief Fundraiser (Holupki Dinner) will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 11:00-3:00pm at Byzantine Centre at the Grove. More information will be forthcoming.

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intention. For the week of March 27-April 2 the left sanctuary candle is in memory of +Michael & +Helen Tirpak and the right sanctuary candle is in memory of +Michael Robert Tirpak both from Robert & Helen Marie Vaclav.

FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT

On the fourth Sunday of the Great Fast, we commemorate Saint John Climacus, author of The Ladder of Divine Ascent. In this work, Saint John outlines the steps essential in attaining communion with God, steps which remind us that the way to the Kingdom constantly challenges us to engage in spiritual warfare: Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:10-13).

We know with certainty that Christianity is not for weaklings and cowards. The end of Great Lent is drawing near and we recall Christ’s awesome words which encourage us to persevere until the end: He who endures to the end will be saved (Matthew 24:13).
