UPDATE-CAPITAL CAMPAIGN:
The NEW total we have collected is $113,714.10 for the Capital Campaign. We continue to work towards our goal of $200, 000. Thank you for your generous donations and continued support to our Church.
CELEBRATION OF MARRIAGE:
The Celebration of Marriage will be held this year on September 10th @ 3:00 pm –St. Elias Church in Pittsburgh. Couples who are celebrating their significant wedding anniversary years (10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 or additional years that are multiples of five) during this year of 2023 will be honoured. Please notify Fr. Michael or Paula by THIS SUNDAY July 16th in order to notify the diocese. Couples who are unable to attend, certificate will be sent.
METROPOLITAN ASSEMBLY
Living our Faith, Moving Forward, appreciating our past will be the topic of Metropolitan Assembly this year November 2-5 in Hillsborough, NJ

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. The week of July 16-22, the left sanctuary candle is in memory of +Caroline Volchko from John & Donna Volchko. There is no request for the right sanctuary.

Second Ecumenical Council – Constantinople, 381 A.D. – Formulated the Second Part of the Creed, defining the divinity of the Holy Spirit.
Third Ecumenical Council – Ephesus, Asia Minor, 431A.D. – Defined Christ as the Incarnate Word of God and Mary as Theotokos.
Fourth Ecumenical Council – Chalcedon, Asia Minor, 451A.D. – Defined Christ as Perfect God and Perfect God and Perfect Man in One Person.
Fifth Ecumenical Council – Constantinople II, 553 A.D. – Reconfirmed the Doctrines of the Trinity and Christ.
Sixth Ecumenical Council – Constantinople III, 680 A.D. – Affirmed the True Humanity of Jesus by insisting upon the reality of His Human will and action.
