UPDATE-CAPITAL CAMPAIGN:
The NEW total with added interest is $346,116.37 for the Capital campaign. Thank you for your continued generosity and support to our church.
LITURGICAL REQUESTS:

PICNIC:
Please mark your calendars for the-CHURCH PICNIC NEXT SUNDAY, JULY 19th at 3:00 pm in the church pavilion. Hot dogs, hamburgers, condiments and beverages will be provided. We ask that everyone please their favorite side dish or dessert. We are planning on having corn hole tournaments, kids games and activities with prizes for the winners. There will be a small Chinese auction, guessing game and 50/50. We are also hoping to have a bounce house for the children. There is a sign-up sheet in the vestibule. We hope to see you all there!!
CELEBRATION OF MARRIAGE:
The Archdiocese of Pittsburgh will again be honoring the couples who are celebrating significant year anniversaries of their marriage this year on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at St. Elias Church in Pittsburgh. Couples who are celebrating 10, 15,20,25,30, 35, 40, 45, 50 or additional years that are multiples are five during this year of 2026 will be celebrated. If unable to attend, certificates will be sent to the couples. Please notify Paula Slemons @ (330) 799-5983 by July 26th so the information can be given to the Chancery.
SANCTUARY CANDLE:
The 2026 Sanctuary candle sign-up sheet is on the table. Cost is still $10/candle. PLEASE CALL PAULA @330-799-5983 for ALL REQUESTS. Just deposit your money in the collection basket.
SANCTUARY CANDLES:
The Sanctuary candles will belit for the entire week for your intentions. For the week of July 12-18, 2026, the left sanctuary candle is in memory of +Carolyn Volchko from John & Donna Volchko. There are no requests for the right sanctuary candle.
ST NICHOLAS CHAPEL UPDATE
We have signed a contract with Murphy Contracting to repurpose our Small Hall in the Byzantine Social Centre into a Byzantine Chapel. Work is already underway, and the contractor has started demolishing and refurbishing the walls and ceiling tiles.
The project is based on the plan we agreed upon at the beginning of our Capital Campaign. We will be closely monitoring the progress and will update you periodically.
Our goal is to move to the new location this September, as our heating system in the church is failing and we are unable to heat the building adequately. I will hold a brief meeting on July 26, 2026, after the 11 AM Liturgy to provide more details.

Though asked to hide what had been done, they revealed it. Remember that elsewhere he had said to a different hearer, “Return to your home and declare how much God has done for you.” This does not run contrary to what he says here but complementary to it. For it teaches us that we should say nothing about ourselves. In fact, it even teaches that we should prevent those who want to praise us from doing so.
