UPDATE-CAPITAL CAMPAIGN:

SANCTUARY CANDLE:
The 2026 Sanctuary candle sign-up sheet is on the table. Cost is still $10/candle. PLEASE CALL PAULA @ 330-799-5983 for ALL REQUESTS. Just deposit your money in the collection basket.
ECF CLASSES:
ECF classes will begin THIS Sunday, September 27th for those children who signed up. Pre-school classes will be held during 9:00 am liturgy in the cry room at Infant Jesus. 1st & 2nd graders will start on October 4th during liturgy in counting room. All other grades will have class after liturgy
TRUNK OR TREAT:
Infant Jesus of Prague invites all children of the parish to their annual Trunk & Treat that will be held on Sunday, October 25th after 9:00 am liturgy. There will be NO ECF classes AFTER liturgy this Sunday. Children are to wear their Halloween costumes and Halloween bags will be provided. All parishioners are invited to bring their favorite treats to pass out to the children. As usual, please park your car in the top right parking lot and if you wish please decorate your trunks. There is a sign-up sheet in the vestibule so we can have a count of the number of treats needed. Looking forward to another fun-filled event!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Volunteers are needed to help move items from the church to the new chapel on Tuesday, September 29th at 10:00 am. Please meet at the church. All help will be greatly appreciated.
SANCTUARY CANDLES:
The sanctuary candle will be lit for the entire week. For the week of September 27th-October 3rd, 2026, there are no request for the sanctuary candles.
BYZANTINE CHAPEL PROJECT – PROGRESS UPDATE
We are pleased to share an update on the transformation of the Small Hall in the Byzantine Social Centre into a Byzantine Chapel.
A contract has been signed with Murphy Contracting, and work is already well underway in accordance with the plans approved at the beginning of our Capital Campaign.
Completed / In Progress:
- Demolition has been completed and the wall for the icon screen has been refurbished.
- Ceiling tiles is installed.
- Electrical work is in progress, including the relocation of the fire alarm system and sprinklers.
- The wall and door for the sacristy have been installed.
- A special altar raiser has been installed.
- A floor tiles are installed.
- A wall painters are finished painting walls.
- Roof replacement for entire Social Center scheduled for this November 2026 with Boak’s and Sons Roofing.
We are grateful for the steady progress and for the continued support of our parish community and Capital Campaign donors that is making this project possible.
We are planing to have a final Liturgy on September 27, 2026 at 11 AM, all are invited.

CHRIST CONTINUES TO CATCH PEOPLE IN THE NETS OF PREACHING.
CYRIL OF ALEXANDRIA: He told Simon and his companions to sail off a little from the land and to let down the net for a draught. But they replied that they had been toiling the whole night and had caught nothing. However, in the name of Christ, they let down the net, and immediately it was full of fish. By a visible sign and by a miraculous type and representation, they were fully convinced that their labor would be rewarded, and the zeal displayed in spreading out the net of the gospel teaching would be fruitful. Within this net they should most certainly catch the shoals of the heathen. But note that neither Simon nor his companions could draw the net to land. Speechless from fright and astonishment for their wonder had made them mute-they beckoned to their partners, to those who shared their labors in fishing, to come and help them in securing their prey. For many have taken part with the holy apostles in their labors, and still do so, especially those who inquire into the meaning of what is written in the holy Gospels. Yet besides them there are also others: the pastors and teachers and rulers of the people, who are skilled in the doctrines of truth. For the net is still being drawn, while Christ fills it, and calls to conversion those who, according to the Scripture phrase, are in the depths of the sea, that is to say, those who live in the surge and waves of worldly things. COMMENTARY ON LUKE, HOMILY 12.
